What does LAMP-Kinship do?
LAMP-Kinship matches caring adult mentors, with youth between the ages of 5-17, who have common interests and hobbies. Our mentors can be individuals, couples, or families. Through the mentoring relationship, we provide support, friendship, and guidance. LAMP-Kinship provides important developmental relationships in young people's lives, provides opportunities, and expands support systems.
Children with Mentors are:
53% less likely to skip school
46% less likely to start using drugs
27% less likely to start drinking
33% less likely to engage in school violence, and are improving relationships and academic performance.

Make a Difference
Being matched with a young person has a positive and important impact!
*90% of surveyed youth report they feel like they now have adults outside of their family who care about them.
*90% of surveyed youth report they have developed some new skills or interests since being matched with their mentor(s).
*100% of surveyed youth report that they have a positive relationship with their mentor(s).
You may not be able to mentor a child at this time, but you can
still be a part of our mission and support our young people and
mentors by being a donor!
Become a volunteer LAMP-Kinship Ambassador, fundraising volunteer,
or office volunteer.
Your support will help LAMP to continue to build a better community
one child at a time!
LAMP provides monthly group activities for mentors and
youth!
Group activities are designed to give our waiting youth a sense of
belonging and being part of a team!
Youth can attend on their own or with a mentor!
